There are misunderstandings and/or conflicts without a valid reason, just because ideas some people create in their minds. So, a "preventive" action could be to organize a picnic (or similar activity) that is not work-related, in order to integrate the team in an environment outside the work-building.Do you think this could be perceived as a method to address differences? provide an example
Organizing a picnic, or similar activity, that is not work-related, in order to integrate the team in an environment outside the work-building can be perceived as a method to address differences among members of the organization.
Whereas some people see outside the work building activities such as a picnic as a good break from their regular work, others understand very well that such activities promote collaboration and cooperation among team members, thus addressing issues regarding differences among the employees. It serves to help know who has the knowledge and expertise in a particular area, helps to trust them and their experience, as well as being able to access such assistance when needed. When an organization creates activities that employees enjoy and can experience as a group, they build relationships and develop networks of contacts, which helps minimize the negative effect of differences among them. When a group of employees successfully complete a team building activity such as a cook-off or a mystery dinner creates momentum and makes them feel good about themselves as well as other team members. This increases their confidence and improves perception of each other and their abilities. A cook-off will entail creating new dishes together, which requires creativity and that everyone put their team and leadership skills in action collaboratively, which is an excellent way to iron out any previous ill perceptions among team members, and promote a more understanding and empathetic environment.
