to drop this course and just step back from school. I am stuck. I have answered the first question because all I had to do was find the mean which is simple and I used a calculator to find the standard deviation. It is simple math after that, but I do not understand the formula or what to look for to calculate this problem.
These are the scores for a course: 98,90,85,88,84,79,79,75,75,74,74,73,72,71,68,50,25.
The first question was to find the probability of a a student getting a grade better than 76. I did this question. I knew what to look for and what each symbol in the formula means. I do not understand the rest.
Traditionally, the mean score for this course is an 82% with a standard deviation of 5. Using an
alpha = .05, answer the following question: Is the current class significantly different than the
traditional population?
Can someone please explain in laymens terms
