Few causes of conflict among the team members are mentioned below:
1. One of the reasons for conflict in an organization is that people do not want to change themselves, they go by their own way of doing things. For example-whenever a person changes his company, he needs to bring little change according to the requirement of the new company. Change-related conflict is one of the reasons for conflict.
2. Conflict also occurs when there are communication gaps and misunderstandings. Delays caused due to poor communication result in disagreements and conflicts. For example when department delays in sending replies, then sometimes the unresponsive attitude of employees leads to conflict among them.
3.Conflicts also occur due to the organizational structure. For example, if you are working with two bosses, you may have a conflict.
4. When the team members are assigned a task for which they have to depend on one another, it may result in conflict. For example, when the task is a step-to-step task.
5. Conflict may also occur in a team when the team members have different work experiences, different expectations, and personalities. For example, few members may be fast in taking decisions and few may take time according to their knowledge and experience.
