He receives so much produce that he sometimes sells the surplus to neighbours. Last summer he made $1,000 cash this way. Albert has always treated the free produce as a "perk" of his job and not taxable to him. A lawyer friend has told him the produce he receives is not income from employment because his employer (Mega City Properties) does not provide it to him, nor do they even know about the free produce he receives.
