1 Supply type (Constructed-response) - this type of test requires students to create and supply their own answer or perform a certain task to show mastery of knowledge or skills.

1.1 Completion- these consist of incomplete statements, the examinee having to supply the missing words, terms, symbols, numbers, etc. Children are expected to insert a word, or words, to complete a sentence, or a series of sentences. Completion item types can also take the form of charts, maps and/or diagrams, requiring learners to label parts as directed.

1.2 Short answer- is a constructed response item type in which the examinee types a short response. Children are expected to answer fill-in-the-blank (FIB) and essay item types.

1.3 Essay-Restricted-  limits both the content and the response by restricting the scope of the topic to be discussed.

1.4 Essay-Expanded-  allows student to select information that they think is pertinent, to organize the answer in accordance with their best judgment, and to integrate and evaluate ideas as they think suitable. They do not set limits on the length or exact content to be discussed.

 

 

 

2 Selection Type (Selection-response)- are test items on which the examinee selects one of a set of choices, rather than generating an original response

2.1 Binary Choice- A binary decision is a choice between two alternatives, for instance between taking some specific action or not taking it. (Example: True or False)

2.2 Multiple Choice- composed of two parts: a stem that identifies the question or problem, and a set of alternatives or possible answers that contain a key that is the best answer to the question, and a number of distractors that are plausible but incorrect answers to the question. Children respond to MCQs by indicating the alternative that they believe best answers or completes the stem.

2.3 Matching- an objective test consisting of two sets of items to be matched with each other for a specified attribute. Children are expected to match the questions found in the column A to the correct answers to choose from column B.

 

 

 

3 Performance Tasks- is any learning activity or assessment that asks students to perform to demonstrate their knowledge, understanding and proficiency.

3.1 Paper-pencil- these are meant to measure memorized knowledge and lower levels of understanding, as compared with performance-based assessment, which is meant to measure deeper understanding through skills and ability. Children are expected to answer a written or printed test to test their knowledge and memory on the lesson.

3.2 Identification- you will be expected to clearly identify or define who or what, when, where, and historical significance of each item. Identification answers should be brief and as specific as possible. Children are expected to recall previous lessons in order to answer these type of questions.

3.3. Stimulated performance- are used to assess how you would react to situations you can encounter while working and how you would solve problems. In these tests, you can also be assessed on your critical thinking ability. Here, children are given sets of situation and they will identify what they are going to do base on their ability to solve problems. This will stimulate the children's ability to think critically.

3.4 Work sample- are methods used to assess an individual's ability to successfully perform a job. Children are expected to perform tasks that are physically and/or psychologically similar to those they would experience on the job.
