1)An increase in popoulation means that there are many new formed species and so for them to survive ,they require enough food to feed on so that they stay heathy and this means that more land should be made active by cultivating to icrease food supply for the population otherwise if there is no enough food the population will decrease in number.

2)We should use technology to help bring more food on the land by;

a) using of certified crop seeds which has a high germination percentagr and are disese and pest free and thus this will allow us to grow alot of food in the lands as most crops will germinate and thus there will be enough food to sustain the population.

b)use of farm machinery to cultivate our lands to obtain the required tilth for instance using a mouldboard plough to cultivate a land whre maize is to be planted and obtaining a fine tilth in the soil will ena ble us to grow and harvest more yeilds whichn will sustain the population available .

c)Technology through the astronomists have helped to predict the seasons for example when there is expected rains or dry seoson,thus afarmer can use the patterns to produce mass food on their field before the dry or drought seoson thus thre will be enough for all the population to sustain them during the drought seoson thus redusing chances of death and malnutrition.

d)Technology through the extension officers has enabled the farmers to learn the use of new farming chemicals like the pestcides,herbicides and incectsides which has helped the farmer to b e prepared for the attack of pests and diseases and protect there crops from the damages hence there will be mass production of food for the population sustaining.

e)The use of technology methods like drainage of excess water by construction of macro catchment areas like the large public dams can help in reclaiming the lands which are waterlogged for example swamps will allow us to plant more foods that will sustain the population.

f)The use of technology to analyse the soil by sampling to determine both the chemical and physical characteristics of soil it can be used to determine what your soil lacks for example the nutrient that is deficient like nitrogen and thus the farmer will know the type of fertilizers to use to replenish their soils and by having a well balanced and fertile soils,the farmer will produce more yields from that land making the food available for all.

3)Trade offs are situations that have a balancing of two opposing options or issues which are both benefiting ,it can also be a balance of issues where not all factors are acheived at the same time,it involves letting go of one thing so as to get the other .
