The circumstances that enable a monopoly to exist includes barriers that restrict other firms to enter the market, products that can be produced by using resources that are only controlled or owned by a particular firm, sometimes government also interferes in the market and make monopoly firms, when a company can serve whole market in cost-effective manner then also a monopoly can be produced.
