The HONOURS PROJECT FASHION BUSINESS unit aims to critically evaluate business and management, by linking theory to practice. Students are guided in appropriate research methodology, investigating a business opportunity, and the procedures involved in setting up and operating a business venture.
The unit works through a series of advanced strategies and business planning issues including financial management and control, to production planning and global sourcing, in order to guide and inform students in their own business buying project.
Students undertake a self-directed business project as a major component of the honours degree in Fashion Business. The aim of the project is to develop and launch a new brand or business concept, within the contemporary fashion industry.
Throughout the unit students are encouraged to develop solid skills in time management, planning, and self-motivation, working to achieve strategic and tactical objectives and provide a realistic and professional business project
