One of the recent deregulated Industries in the past 20 years is Telecommunication. When the deregulation was introduced in the year 1999, it included the broadcasting, communication, and cable operations rights for the operating frequency as well into the law. The main purpose of this was to allow as many players to be in the market of communication.

There were many players already in the market and many now also entered the market after these deregulations in the US. The Industry has since grown like anything in the business. They have seen a large number of players doing individual business and over the period of time to compete with other players, they have merged themselves to form a new entity. This way the shrinkage in the number of providers but the number of services grown.

So we can say that yes it has been an impactful decision to deregulate the telecommunication industry and has grown steeply after it.
