please explain how you will communicate the details of your competition and the rewards offered to both the sales and service teams.
The most effective way to communicate to sales teams, service teams and other teams in general is through the use of open, transparent and one-on-one meetings to explain the details of a message. In this channel of communication, if I am the supervisor or the team leader, I would schedule meetings where I set out the agenda and put down the details of the competition and expected rewards of their tasks. If I am a rank higher than the team leaders, then I would ensure that the details are passed down in written and verbally to the team leaders who will then convey the message to the teams in team meetings.
In a deeper level, as a team leader I will, as said schedule team meetings and delve into the details of the competition. Here I will break down every objective and overall goal of the competition between the teams. I will also engage the team members in a bid to gather their views and questions regarding the purpose of the competition. This will then lead me to the reward in place in line with the achievement of the objectives.
I deem this mode of communication effective because it engages the team members into getting their views and perceptions/attitudes towards the competition. The meetings also allow for team members to ask questions and clarity and this is key to effective communication of the competition details and the pertinent rewards.
