A researcher studied the relation between psychotherapists' degree of empathy and their patients' satisfaction with therapy. As a pilot study, 8 patient-therapist pairs were studied to determine if a higher level of therapist empathy was associated with greater patient satisfaction. Using the data in Table 1 and testing at an alpha of 0.05, use all the steps of hypothesis testing to determine what can be said about the researcher's hypothesis.
