  1. A value becomes a moral value when it protects life or respects your life and the lives of other people. Moral values such as truth and freedom enhances life, but these are still relative values that should always be examined in order to make sure that it could protect and respect lives. Money has a value, but it is not everything. It could give you your necessities and luxuries, and your needs to live a good life in this world such as education, housing, health and many more. However, its value is from a material form and somehow it brings chaos to the society because the one who lacks it cannot live with freedom and comfortability. Furthermore, money cannot become a moral value because its roots is from material motives and not really about virtue or morality. Its intention might be good or bad. Another example would be is a political position, this also cannot be a moral value because it could have hidden motives which could endanger the lives of other people who deserve their own rights as a citizen. A politician might oppressed the media from releasing factual data that might arouse confusion and unfamiliar situation to the citizens. Despite the fact that the information that is trying to be concealed will somehow prevent the escalation of a serious event, this still proves that there are more incentives on the part of those in the position. They think that they hold the power, they can shut whatever they want, they can oppress whoever they want.
  2. We have the tendency to render moral judgments on others so easily because we are human beings. For us, it is easier to understand when we have categories to choose when we see a new person in town. If we look at the newbie, we would automatically render is he a good person or not. By immediately putting him in the category of a bad person, then we would be able to skip on taking criticisms our own beliefs. For instance, two individuals have different beliefs when it comes to religion. If person A believes that he is doing right and person B is doing right as well within his belief, but person A believes that person B is wrong, then person A should not have to take complicated steps to verify the actions of person B. Therefore, it seems like a shortcut to prevent from going towards the long road.
  3. My answer here would be no. Not all the time my practical choice is in consonance with my intellectual choice. Take for example, I know that I could earn more money if I acquire more hands-on training first and other knowledge related to my field - this one is my intellectual choice. However with this pandemic, I must find ways to earn money even though I will earn a little than when I have trainings and sufficient knowledge. I will do whatever job is available even if it is not for me or it is not what I really want to do. Therefore in my own opinion, practical choice does not always go with the intellectual choice and I have to choose from either of the two.
