1) Throughout this course we have learned many skills in research. Through each assignment I have gained a new perspective on how to go about my research. Perhaps what helped me the most was the annotated bibliography. The reason for this is because I learned how to look for credible scholarly peer-reviewed sources that were written within the past 5 years. Before in research I would always use a source because I liked the content of what was inside, but now I know that my resources need to be credible and relevant new information to add value to any of my work. It surprised me that we were given this timeframe for our sources to be in, but I now know the reasoning behind it is that if the information was older, it could be dated, and new information could be present that might disprove the older source.

2. I still need to complete the rest of my body paragraphs for my research paper. Feedback that has been helpful is to learn what makes a thesis statement argumentative and how to correctly use transitions between my paragraphs. I must use transitions that make sense and allow the paper to flow together appropriately. My supporting elements need to back up my argument from my thesis statement.

3. For my career, I will be working in the human resource field. I anticipate doing a lot of writing for my job, whether that is emails or announcements for my team to read. In my writing I plan on backing up my statements with research that is relevant current information that comes from scholarly peer reviewed journals. This way I can ensure I am providing accurate information from great sources.

4. Conversations that I will be a part of in my field are those that can improve the environment and atmosphere in the workplace. Culture is a huge part of any business, and I plan to be a voice in advocating for fairness and equality where every individual is heard and valued. The reason for this, is often this is something that is lacking or a struggle in the work environment today. I plan on using my knowledge that I have gained through this course to help me navigate through tough conversations and elevate the positivity of the workplace too.
