b. Body Paragraphs: Write 3 body paragraphs to support your thesis. Each body paragraph should include…
i. Topic Sentence—This is your reason for your position in your thesis. Write it in a complete sentence.
ii. Text Evidence—Go back to the article and find support in what the author said, concluded, argued, considered, believed, question, etc. to back up your topic sentence.
iii. Give Your Own Ideas and Opinions—Bring relevance to the text evidence by relating it to your own ideas and experiences. Here, you may use other texts, videos, books, news reports, interviews, and your own experience to discuss and bring understanding to your topic sentence and text evidence.
*Remember, you must have at least 3 body paragraphs! Each paragraph should have at least 6 well-developed, clearly written sentences.
c. Conclusion: Write one concluding paragraph that restates your thesis and tells your readers what they should do with the information they have learned in your essay. Should they read more work by the author? Why? Should they further investigate this issue? Why

• Paper should be typed in 12-point size, Times New Roman font
• Text should be double-spaced, with each paragraph indented (Click the “tab” button once on your keyboard to indent.)
• A unique title should be included
• Margins should be set to one-inch on all sides
• Cite your sources in your work. (You will learn MLA formatting later, but for now, please include information about your sources as best as you can.)
• Length of paper should be 2 (minimum) – 3 (maximum) pages
