Answer:

One example of a TV program that shows stereotyping is Netflix's Insatiable. It generally stereotypes the fat or plus-sized women.

Since the goal is to "destroy" or "dismantle" stereotypes in TV or Movie, here is an example argument for this particular show:

Netflix body-shaming series, Insatiable, should be stopped and banned.

Explanation

After identifying a TV program or a movie which you think is showing stereotypes, the next thing you have to do is to decide on your argument. The argument is your position or stand on the issue. It will tell the audience whether you agree or disagree of something.

Since the goal of your activity  is to "destroy" or "dismantle" stereotypes in TV or Movie, here is an example argument for the series Insatiable:

Netflix body-shaming series, Insatiable, should be stopped and banned.

If you need to write an argumentative essay about it, there are the things that you should keep in mind when writing your introductory paragraph. As an author, the introduction must give an overview of the content of your essay. Most importantly, it should contain the main idea and the thesis statement or  argument.

Take a look at this example:

Body-shaming has been an issue for a lot of people in any part of the world. It can be seen anywhere— at school, at work, malls, movies or televisions. In fact, this kind of stereotype is reflected in one of the most trending Netflix series, Insatiable. This body-shaming series should be stopped and banned.

Next, develop a strong point. Provide statistics, studies, or any material that will back up your argument. Citations and references would be of great help.

Take a look at this example:

The plot of Insatiable revolves around Patty- played by Debby Ryan. They've associated and given her everything a fat girl is supposed to have in our society: laziness, depression, and a lack of affection. In this show, Patty's character was portrayed us a plus-size lady who suffers from binge eating disorder. Patty is then placed on a liquid-only diet, and she loses 70 pounds as a result. At this point in the season, audience should expect Insatiable to portray Patty as a super sexy female now that her body has shed the pounds. This basically tells the viewers that in order to be considered beautiful, one should be slim or even free from flaws. That you are not attractive if you have bulges on your stomach, huge arms, or a big face for a girl.  This idea that Insatiable is putting in the mind of viewers could greatly affect one's mental and emotional health.

According to an article entitled "This is what body shaming is doing to your mental health: Why you should refrain from body shaming," body shaming can have a negative impact on one's mental health. Body shaming that occurs too often or has a greater effect for some cause can lead to anxiety, depression, and social isolation. People who suffer from anxiety are prone to overthinking everything, including comments about their bodies.

Lastly, you will need to write your conclusion. The concluding paragraph must include a generalisation or restatement of the major points and your major argument.

Take a look at this example:

As a result, Insatiable should be dismantled, stopped and destroyed because it encourages discrimination. It could result in severe emotional and mental health problems, which could lead to someone else's death. Body shame must come to an end. We are to blame and are responsible to end the demise of the standards of beauty that we have created.

Note: When writing your argumentative essay, you may  include as many sources as possible. You may follow this explanation and use it as pattern of idea development.
