In an interprofessional team, members work closely together and communicate frequently to optimize outcomes for the individual, family, or community. This type of team is organized around a common set of problems and meets frequently to consult (American Public Health Association, n.d.).
Defining the terms multidisciplinary and interprofessional, and then discuss your experiences in health care or public health teams. Give an example of a successful team and an unsuccessful team if possible. Analyze whether each team was multidisciplinary or interprofessional.
