An organization must therefore create a way to detect threats and handle and prevent them. The cloud is a complex environment where many resources can be accessed thus the need to set the incident response team must be the most important part of handling cloud incident. (Ware, 2019).
Security incident handling is evolving to an approach that is integrated into security management, and cloud computing is one of the latest platforms that is being used for developing and deploying the needed new tools and methods. In the event of a security incident, it may be necessary for the incident response team to conduct threat-level risk assessments, determine the risk associated with each incident, and implement an incident response plan. This incident response plan may include the deployment of any needed tools and technology, e.g., a software package to scan data for malware, a process for updating patch levels, a process for investigating the risk of an event that resulted in the incident, and a set of guidelines to be used in response to such an incident. The cloud is designed to be a secure environment by the use of security services. Organizations are able to reduce their costs in the use of security services by outsourcing such as hiring security staff for only two days a week because in the cloud, security staff will be using remote monitoring and management software. Hence the problem with security incident is that the organization loses funds that are allocated to hire security personnel. This becomes a problem because it affects productivity of organizations and cloud computing processes. (Kalogeraki, 2019).
