  1. As a chief medical technologist, In my own perspective, I would recommend distance continuing education courses. With the technology where it is today, I must say almost or more than 50% of the population has access to internet and capable to understand how E-learning works. The flexibility of this setup helps everyone to develop study techniques, freedom to decide when and where to study following your own pace and in the long run can help lower down cost of tuition, accommodation, food and lifestyle costs. This may also hone a person's discipline and critical thinking by being on your own most of the time. I would also recommend "Blended Learning" wherein there are certain days that you learn from online but will dedicate days to learn in the universities, workplace setup.
  2. Well, I think E-learning needs to step up the game by not just providing information, this should be engaging and a learner needs to be mentally involved. Sometimes the emotions or attitude of the educator and the learner adds up to easily absorb the information and that is hard to capture online. Another issue I can think of is that there's so many information in the web such as different/complex explanation, intervention, care plans in the medical field, I think we still need to improve this by creating a standardized approach, it could still be complex but with same outcome.

How will it affect the clients especially those who do not have an access to the internet?

There might be a struggle when it comes to communicating effectively let's say a person type in questions that computer may not understand but I believe today our technology is easy to update and enhance. Those who do not have an access to the internet will eventually be available to them handy in no time, that's why I also recommend blended approach meaning you get to experience working onsite and remotely so we can still cater them.
