1. Discuss how do product development strategies differ from market development strategies? The key difference between product development and market development is that product development is a strategy that focuses on developing new products in existing markets whereas market development strategy identifies and develops new market segments for existing products.
2. What factors in the external environment are affecting the “Big Three” U.S. automobile manufacturers?
The factors in the external environment that are affecting the "Big Three" U.S. automobile manufacturers (which are Ford, Chrysler, and General Motors) are consumers reducing their spending, holiday sales dropping, financial institutions going bankrupt and the mortgage industry collapsing.
3. Give an example and explain how a corporation that wants to help protect the environment can do so at its
corporate, business, and functional levels.
With time, the organizations have understood their responsibility towards the environment and overall society. The corporations are coming up with ways and means in which they can contribute towards sustainability and improvements

Microsoft wants to help the environment by mitigating its impact on the climate, the company's efforts have been in three main areas: decreasing its carbon emissions through energy efficiency and conservation; moving to renewable energy for its data centers and buildings; and offsetting the carbon emissions of business air travel.
