SUMMARY-RESPONSE PAPERS (SR) 3 student-selected; 1 instructor-selected; 4 total. A summary-response paper consists of a brief summary of the assigned document, followed by your response. The summary should be no more than one paragraph and should clearly identify the document you are summarizing. Your response may be a question that the material raised for you and a suggested answer to the question. It may be a discussion of the material in its historical context. · What did it make you think about, what was interesting to you, what questions did it make you ask, etc.?

· Start with a topic sentence: make a general statement about your response.

· The remaining sentences should explain or support your statement.

· The response paragraph can be more than one paragraph, but the summary-response paper should not be more than 2 pages in length.
