The metal equilateral triangle in the diagram above, 22.8 cm on a side, is halfway into a 0.574 T magnetic field. What is the magnetic flux (in Wb) through the triangle?
I used flux equals ABcos(60) and got 64.6 and thought I could maybe halve it to get 32.3 but it says both are wrong?
the area of half the triangle is 1/2 (1/2) (0.228)2 sin60 = 0.01125 m2
so φ = 0.01125 (0.574) = 6.46 x 10-3 wb
