Answer: The primary goal for my Capstone project is to build a homeless shelter to help individuals become more self-reliant. The goal is to live in the facility for a year or longer if needed, get a job, and move into a stable place to live. One of the first things to end homelessness is finding housing for a focuses group but not limited to that group. Having a stable place to live opens the door to finding to get and keep a job, address mental illness, take care of health and nutrition, and find their purpose and role in the community. Helping the homeless by providing services and support such as behavioral health, employment, and education is essential.
