Analytical Report Work Plan: Daycare in Covid 19 situation
By Yuening Li and Yike Gao
Statement of the Problem
In an epidemic, the health and safety of a child is of utmost importance. Children often have a weak immune system, or are an effective carrier of a virus, so their wellbeing is not only critical for the child themselves but also their whole family. Thus, any facility which also takes care of children, must take these problems into consideration.
Purpose
The purpose of the upcoming report is to introduce how to keep the daycare environment clean and sanitary, and deal with some special circumstances in the epidemic.
Scope and Limitations
We are preparing this report because Covid-19 impacts the lives of everyone in daycare, such as parents, kids, and teachers. All the parents are worried about their children’s health because of the outbreak of the epidemic. The report will focus on analysis of recommendation and studies as it related to reopening child care facilities and maintaining proper hygiene.
Source and Method of Data Collection
We will collect sources and information from government and some organization websites for example, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Cal Matters.
Background
“California child care sites have reported to the state 12032 cases of Covid 19 and 30 related deaths since the pandemic began.” (Aguilera, 2021) Parents have to work, they don’t have enough time to take care of their children. Additionally, children need to go to daycare and study social skills. “However, cases have been rising steadily in children since the beginning of the pandemic.” (Emily, 2020)
Audience Analysis
Our target audience for this report will be daycare providers and parents of children in daycare facilities.
