Mission and Vision Statements
The mission statement for Google is "to organize the global information and making it universally accessible and useful." Perhaps, the company is the most successful entity ever to formulate a strategic plan to organize global data for online users. On the other hand, its vision statement is "to have android phones that offer free accessible means of Google Maps as well as provision of communication and navigation to the users." The organization has ensured the achievement of the effective and efficient way with minimal complications to its users when requesting certain information using their gadgets or other products and services. It has dedicated its last two decades to developing its workforce and motivating employees to get engaged with their responsibilities and connected to the organizational culture.
Strategic Management Plan
Google's strategic management plan has been to continue leading in the innovative world of technology. As such, it has mobilized its workforce with the help of "People Operations," which combines the company's Human Resource and Science departments. This combination has enabled the company to constantly experience and find out the best innovative approach to satisfying its customers' needs. For instance, the company's People Operation team successfully implemented a strategic plan of forming a group of scientists, which it named PiLab, to run numerous experiments on the organization workforce on how to run a large corporation (Manjoo F. 2013) effectively.
Culture
Google's culture is based on flexibility, whereby employees are encouraged to work in a comfortable environment. The management has deployed a trusted approach that has brought all the organization workforce as a unit, also known as clan organizational structure. For example, the company management has formed a cohesive and friendly relationship with its workforce which in turn has helped the employees not only to understand the core mission and vision statements of the entity but also to believe in what they term as a noble and inspirational goal (Brooks, 2018).
Decision Making Process
Google's decision-making process is typically based on data language, involving data, scientific, and analytics experimentation. The company has massive data and information on which they rely to make almost random and quick decisions on matters at hand. However, it attentively preserves privacy regarding its customers' information at all costs. For example, it only took ten days for Google to acquire YouTube for $1.6 billion in 2006 (Feloni, 2017).
Principles of Ethics
Google's structural approach is based on engaging all of its stakeholders in all decision-making processes. Having said this, it is committed to treating its workforce with pure respect and dignity and providing a safe workplace environment for its employees. It is an organization based on a code of ethics for all of its operations and activities. For instance, the company introduced a consultation approach to AI research in 2018 to align and legitimize its new technologies with the code of ethics before unveiling to the public to conserve the ethical protocols.
Human Resource
Google has incorporated its workforce by deeply engaging them into the company's primary goal. It has united its employees, referred to as Googlers, and allows them to feel at home by ignoring all sorts of employees' restrictions while at work (Manjoo, 2013). In turn, it has enabled the workforce to practice their innovative skills at work and communicate any innovative ideas to the management, thereby earning it a variety of options for solving issues related to customer's needs.
