Elections play the role of ensuring democracy. This is mainly because it gives people the right to select their own government, and the government plays a role in this. The government also has a role in formulating policies that govern daily work as well as family life.

Influence Of Health Policies on Nurses.

           Health policies influence both the daily work and family life of nurses. This is because the policies influence the ability of nurses to make decisions as well as affairs that are connected to health through knowledge in politics, collaboration, and effective communication with the other members involved in the health team (Elgie, 2007). This helps improve the nurses’ work environment, and in turn, bettering the relationship between nurses and their family members.

Policy Issues Might Drive Nurses to Lobby Congress And/Or Get Involved in Campaign Politics?

           Some issues might drive nurses to lobby congress and also get involved in campaign politics. One such issue is the poor health policies that affect nurses negatively (Elgie, 207). In such cases, there exists a political-ethical dilemma for nurses who want to take part in politics. This dilemma is related to lack of knowledge, fear of power, repression, and outdated nursing images.

Strategies Might Nurses Use to Have Their Voices Heard?

           One strategy that might help nurses to voice their issues is being involved in politics. In this case, they will be having their representatives in the government who understand their issues well (Elgie, 2007). As indicated earlier, there exist some political-ethical dilemmas for nurses. For this reason, some guidelines help nurses understand the importance of being involved in the political process.
