According to Bernacki and colleagues, mobile technology directly impacts how we conduct most of our activities (Bernacki et al., 2020). Furthermore, mobile phone technology is seen as a host that enables other forms of technological aspects such as communication and the internet of things, affecting many factors of modern society. The article provides the current changes in mobile technology and its impacts on the education sector. The first main finding of the research suggests that the current trends in mobile technology have introduced new devices (wearable technologies), which introduce different learning approaches. The second finding suggests that there have been many changes in education systems across the globe in recent years, which influence the learning processes and outcomes (Bernacki et al., 2020). Such changes provide opportunities for the implementation of mobile technology to improve various aspects of different education systems. The main findings in the identified article have various aspects of modern technology related to my proposed research areas. For instance, the article recognizes the concept of technology, which is gradually changing and affecting different aspects of our lives, such as education. Therefore, I will use this information to provide evidence on the impact and role of changing technology in the education sector. 2. “The role of science, technology, and innovation in the UN 2030 agenda” by Walsh et al., 2020. The mentioned article will also be resourceful in providing insights that will shed more light on my research questions and support my paragraphs’ topics. According to the article, science, technology, and innovation are crucial components that affect economic development 3 and environmental sustainability (Walsh et al., 2020). Besides, the article also suggests that economic development and environmental sustainability must include technology-intensive solutions to achieve the desired results. Walsh and colleagues also suggest that the transformation and the dynamic nature of technology affect the implementations of various technological solutions in various aspects of our daily activities. However, its dynamic nature, which has given room for its constant change, has made sure that it has transformed the roles it plays in our society. Today, technology is at the core of almost every activity that human beings undertake on a daily basis even in economic development and environmental sustainability (Walsh et al). This paper seeks to explore some of these activities, namely: education, business, and communication, examining how technology has impacted them. Additionally, it explores the various ways through which modern technological changes have affected the roles they play in these activities.

Role of Technology in Education.
The integration of technology into the education process began a long time ago. At the time, it was only limited to the special needs students like the visually impaired, who were provided with braille machines to aid in their learning. Additionally, only a few of the tutors employed technological teaching aids due to their accessibility. (Bernacki et al) Meanwhile, the rest of the students and instructors, who were the majority, used traditional teaching methods in the learning process. Nonetheless, its roles expanded at the same rate with its advancements. Soon, it became gravely embedded in the teaching process where instructors began greatly relying on technological teaching methods such as the use of projectors in their deliveries.
Today, educational technology has been wholly embraced because it is both used in teaching and learning. Spurred by the availability of technological advancements as well as prevailing conditions such as the current pandemic, the role of technology in education has totally transformed (Bernacki et al). With technologies such as e-learning, students are now able to learn from far and wide, breaking, among others, the distance barrier. This has been enabled majorly by mobile technologies and specifically mobile learning (Bernacki et al). Furthermore, its role in special needs learning has also evolved since the introduction of assistive technology. The impact of all these has been increased efficiency and effectiveness in the education sector, and the inevitable technological changes seem very promising to students and instructors as well.
Role of Technology in Business
Businesses have also adopted much of technology in their activities, turning it to their benefit, in this case, wider profit margins. In the past, the Information Technology department in businesses was not a very vital part of the structure. Nevertheless, it has become an indispensable part of all enterprises, whether small or big, and the related experts have become of demand regardless of the business size (Drnevich et al 489). As technology advances, its roles in business have changed, and through various technologies, companies can now easily gain competitive advantage, handle their customers better and grow immensely due to better marketing strategies (Drnevich et al 503). Additionally, this society’s sector has witnessed efficient and effective decision-making and business communication. All this is thanks to technologies such as artificial intelligence and machine learning. And while these role changes have a positive impact on the goods market, the labor market faces negative consequences (Novakova). This is because automation, which is enabled by artificial intelligence, is slowly but surely replacing human labor (Novakova). Therefore, though the changing role of technology is positive to businesses, it poses a lot of risks to the business workforce.
Role of Technology in Communication
Technological advances have had a lot of impact on the current communication methods globally. This is from the regular social information dissemination techniques to those used in businesses and other activities. Its magical touch and effect in communication began with the introduction of normal audio calls and simple text messages (Fulk). However, this has evolved over time, and currently, it plays more effective roles such as enabling video calling and numerous chat channels such as telegram. Moreover, the introduction of the internet and social media platforms has totally revolutionized society’s communication. This has made the passing of information from one individual to the other much easier, making the world a global village (Fulk). The most recent technological advancements have concentrated on wearable technologies, which have enabled the receiving and giving of information while on the go very easy. Generally, the changes in technology are proving to empower people more and more by providing them with adequate information, and this is making the world a better place.
Conclusion
Technology has overhauled the way things were done, and its changes are slowly but surely transforming with its advancements. This can be seen evidently in some of the daily activities within which it has been integrated. In the educational sector, it has evolved from only being used in special needs children to being used by all stakeholders in both learning and teaching. And although the change in technological roles poses risks to the labor market in business, it has far much more positive results for the enterprises. On the other hand, the massive transformation in matters of communication has seen the world become a global village. In all three circumstances, the results are the same; that technological impact adjusts in accordance to technological advancement. Therefore, technology can be clearly seen as both a tool and a catalyst for change. As technology changes, its roles in the different societal activities also transform. And with it being at the very core of society, society changes in entirety with technological changes.
