PROJECT OUTLINE Step 1: Conducting Research: First, you’ll need to fully understand the project. Go to the JWU Student Health 101 website and Facebook pages to view their content and messaging. SWOT – create a one-page SWOT analysis. Decide as a group, the key strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats associated with the Health Policies. STP – Segmenting, Targeting and Positioning. Try to find additional facts, lifestyles and trends regarding Millennials and the JWU student populations at the Providence campus. Target and define a specific portion of the student polulation for your campaign, then tailor your messages to best create the best positioning strategy for your marketing campaign. . Step 2: Team Brainstorming Have an open discussion about the various ways you could employ social media to capture the attention of the target audience with your positioning/message. Which social media platform would be the best option to help network and reach the right people? Exchange ideas within the group, and choose the ones with the best chance of success. Include research to support your media choice. Step 3: Writing your Plan Write a proposal summarize your team’s research and creative ideas for our JWU client. Describe how your promotion will reach the target audience with information and value. Your idea should communicate your position in an engaging way, to entice the target audience to take action and tell a friend! Step 4: Presenting your Plan Determine how you will present these ideas to the client. I suggest organizing your presentation using PowerPoint, Keynote, Prezi or some other software. Remember the 10-10-10 presentation rule: limit the text on a presentation slide to 10 words – use pictures and brief text to communicate the highlights of your plan. Presentations should contain no more than 10 slides, be at no more than ten minutes in total. Your presentation must include all members of your team. Present your ideas with the objective to persuade the client that your team’s promotion plan is the best. The paper should be a minimum of 4 pages in length to cover all of these issues (+ Works Cited). Both the paper and presentation are due the week before exams. The written paper should include: I. Project Heading and Team Member Names II. Introduction Paragraph III. SWOT Analysis (including research) IV. STP V. Promotion Plan Your professor and classmates will ask questions at the end of your presentation, so be prepared to support and justify your research, ideas and recommendations.
