• GETTING STARTED

• Open the file SC_WD19_EOM11-1_FirstLastName_1.docm, available for download from the SAM website.
• Save the file as SC_WD19_EOM11-1_FirstLastName_2.docm by changing the “1” to a “2”.
  • If you do not see the .docm file extension in the Save As dialog box, do not type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically.
• To complete this SAM Project, you will also need to download and save the following data files from the SAM website onto your computer:
  • Support_WD19_EOM11-1_Forms.dotx
  • Support_WD19_EOM11-1_Pyramid.png
• With the file SC_WD19_EOM11-1_FirstLastName_2.docm still open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the footer.
  • If the footer does not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy from the SAM website.

• PROJECT STEPS

1. As a financial planning assistant for Pinnacle Financial Advisors in Columbus, Ohio, you are developing a survey to send to clients so that they can specify their preferences for being contacted by a financial advisor. You are creating the document as an online form so that you can exchange the survey with clients via email.
   
   Enable macros, if you are prompted, and then verify that the Macro Security setting disables all macros with notification. (Hint: If the Macro Security setting disables all macros without notification, select the "Disable all macros with notification" option, and then close the SAM Project document without saving it. Perform the "Getting Started" steps again, saving a new copy of the SAM Project document over the previous one.)
   
   Convert the table containing the First Name and Last Name content controls to text, separating the text with paragraph marks. Change the left indent of the First Name paragraph to 0.08" to align with the Last Name paragraph.
    
2. Import the Form Head style from the template file Support_WD19_EOM11-1_Forms.dotx. Apply the Form Head style to the "Client Contact Survey" paragraph.
3. Create a character style for check box labels by using Box Label as the name of the new style. Specify that you are creating a character style based on the Default Paragraph Font. Change the font color of the new style to Brown, Accent 6 (1st row, 10th column).
4. Apply the Box Label character style to the five check box labels: "Email", "In person", "Phone", "Text message", and "Other (please specify):".
5. Insert a Date field to the right of the "Last updated:" text using the format similar to January 14, 2021.
6. Change the rectangle outlining the form to a Rectangle: Single Corner Rounded to match the shape used on other company forms. Fill the shape with the picture in the file Support_WD19_EOM11-1_Pyramid.png. Apply the Tan, Background color 2 Light to the picture to make the text easier to read. [Mac hint: Change the rectangle outlining the form to a Round Single Corner Rectangle.]
7. In the text box containing the text "Pinnacle", change the direction of the text to Rotate all text 270°. Resize the text box to a height of 0.9" and a width of 0.5". Apply the Isometric: Bottom Down 3-D rotation shape effect.
8. Move the text box to an absolute horizontal position of 0.7" to the right of the Margin and an absolute vertical position of 0.7" below the Page. Group the pyramid and the text box so that they remain together even when moved.

Your document should look like the Final Figure on the following pages. Save your changes, close the document, and then exit Word. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
