Step-by-step explanation

Step by Step Explanation

1.  Fake news is written and published with the intent to mislead in order to gain financially or politically, often with sensationalist, exaggerated, or patently false headlines that grab attention. Best example of this is the world of social media. As an internet user,  a lot of news are circulating in the social media. Fake news includes false stories about all sorts of topics that are crafted in order to appear real and get traffic and social shares on Facebook and Twitter. During the election many fake news stories were released to deceive people into believing conspiracy theories and other false claims. Many believe that the rise in fake news is due to diminishing newspapers and journalists and social media users willingness to share stories without fact-checking first.

2. We all know that fake news do not give people a healthy relationship with others because once they got influenced by a certain fake information, a lot of them will remain blinded and do not want to have a good communication.

2.1.- Fake news destroys one's  credibility. It's true. If your arguments are built on bad information, it will be much more difficult for people to believe you now and in the future.

2.2.-Fake news can hurt a person, and a lot of other people. One of the best examples of this issue is the life of artist, vloggers/influencers/ social media figures, etc. A lot of people are really into spreading fake news that could lead to affecting one's health. Many artists became suicidal because they can't be able to tolerate the impact of it.

2.3. Fake news make it harder for people to see the truth. Fake news is very dangerous not just in one's credibility but also to their mental, intellectual and emotional health. People are confide to their own beliefs even if it's not validated with facts. The tendency of this act is to be closed-minded to every details they will hear (though it's validated with facts) because they're comforting their selves with lies.

3. The ability to tell accurate news from fake news is an important skill that you'll use for the rest of your life. You as a student, you should be able to weigh critically the information you are getting from other people, social media, etc. It is more and more important to check information sources, especially on the internet and using social media websites.  Before sharing a post on Facebook or Whatsapp or any other apps, make sure you've checked that it is trustworthy and factual information. Check who wrote the article. Can you trust what they posted and are they qualified to post this information? In this case, your credibility will not be in danger so as to those information you will be seen from it.

4. A study undertaken by Loughborough University's Online Civic Culture Centre in 2019 found that 42.8 percent of news sharers admit to sharing inaccurate or false news. The study also reported that "those who share news on social media are mainly motivated to inform others and express their feelings". So the answer is YES. Fake news change people especially in terms of their thinking skills, reasoning skills, communication skills, and behavior. We cannot deny the fact that we became a fake news sharer/spreader but if people develop a critical mindset it will help us to evaluate the story and decide whether we think it is true or not. Approach what we read with a heavy dose of cynicism.
