You have been assigned as the PM to a project that will produce software for a client.

Two of the stakeholders in your project have disengaged and you haven't heard from them in weeks. Using the stakeholder descriptions below identify where they are on the power/interest grid and how you would re-engage them.

  • Kyree, Data Owner: Kyree holds access to all the data that will be processed in the software being developed. He is responsible for creating feed files (files that will help get the data from their current system into the new software your team is developing). Because Kyree is the data owner, he manages his company's internal access and reporting, so he is often involved in multiple medium to high-level projects. While Kyree manages the data, he reports to Mia who has the final say on all access, feeds, and approves all reports and file creation. Kyree is a family man with two young kids and a wife and they love the outdoors  - hiking, camping, kayaking...all of it.
  • Mia, Executive Director: Mia is the executive director of data and processing for their company and is the owner of the project on their company's side of things. Mia approves all final decisions regarding the project - data in/data out, etc. Because of Mia's role, she is involved in multiple high-level projects, especially now, as their company is in the middle of a major transition. Mia is married and she and her partner are avid scuba divers.

  • Identify which part of the power/interest grid each stakeholder is in - and explain WHY you placed them in that area.
  • For each stakeholder provide a short explanation about how YOU would get them re-engaged in the project and why you chose the approach. I recommend providing one paragraph explaining how you will engage them and one paragraph explaining why you chose that engagement approach.
