2- The Operating Context should clearly define the Primary and Secondary functions (ESCAPES) including the functional performance standards.                  

3- Conduct RCM Analysis, the Information Worksheet should start with the Primary function, which should always be prefixed with the number 1. Standard (RCM II) numbering and lettering should be used for all other functions and functional failures.         

4- The Decision worksheet should also follow standard (RCM II) numbering and lettering. It should detail if the fault is Hidden has Safety and Environmental consequences or Operational / Non-operational consequences.
