I'm working on an assignment in Managing Business Strategy and Uber will be the organization that I need to draft an action plan / strategic plan, one of the request quoting "Use appendices to provide detailed supporting evidence and integrate key points from the appendices into your answers." --> would that means I need to provide chart, figures, news clip as appendices here?
The appendix consists of subsidiary matter at the end of the document in this case the strategic plan which may be helpful in providing a more comprehensive understanding of the research problem and/or is information which is too cumbersome to be included in the body of the paper.
You should use it to cover data or details that aren't essential to your work, but which could provide useful context or background material.
Here i have attached examples of appendices that several strategic plans have
University of montana Strategic plan
Georgia State Univesity Strategic plan
You will notice they are more technical and not very essential in the whole plan but may form part of the required documents.
However the requireent that the appencicies should be integrate key points from the appendices into your answers.
this means that you should not use this section to just dump unnecessary materials that are not relevant to the plan. As such in the discussion or plan the instructor expects that you will refer to all appendices. You could also use this section to refer to materials such as proforma or projected financials.
Note that charts and figures may still be included in the report without putting them into the appendices especially where they are very essential to the report and its expected that there will be several charts, figures and table properly labelled and referenced.
