What does the Activity Ratio measure in the value stream?
In the value stream, the Activity Ratio does measure the rate at which the work moves in the value stream in terms of how much time the work is idle in the value stream. The faster rate that the work moves is determined by the activity ratio such that it covers the sum of process time divided by the total lead time. This gives the level of activity ratio and the higher the ratio, the better the activity. The value stream always get attached to the manner in which the activities and the work can be managed or performed in order to bring value to the customer after the work has been across the various stages and processes.
