I’d like you to keep a listening diary for two weeks. Spend fifteen minutes per day listening. How, when, and where you listen will be up to you, granted that you fulfill the below criteria at least once each. Write notes during or after the experience, reflecting on the soundscape and any particular sounds that resonate with or irritate you. Why do certain sounds resonate while others irritate? What connotations do particular sounds/soundscapes have for you? What synaesthetic qualities, if any, do certain listening environments bring on (e.g., do sounds evoke other senses, such as colors or scents or feels)?

1. My quiet space: Sitting in my room. My room is located on the second floor of are apartment building next to a pond.
2. Extended listening Outdoors: Throwing the football outside with my roommate in our cul-de-sac (dead end street)
3. Extended listening at a busy or bustling location: Went to the grocery store in my town
4. Extended listening to a completely artificial soundscape: I listened to the sounds of the video game playing Call of duty Warzone
