Compare and contrast the the three different measures of central tendency. Provide an example of the most appropriate time to use each measurement sca
There are there main measures of central tendency. A measure of tendency in statistics helps understand the center point or rather the typical value of the specific data set in a specific range. The three most common measures of tendency include the mean, median, as well as mode. Essentially, the different measures tend to locate the central point with different formulas. This is the most similarity between the three. However, the mean is used to get the arithmetic average of the data. It is gotten through adding up the data and then dividing it by the number of observations in the set of data. Median on the other hand is the ability to locate the middle value whenever the data is split into two. Eventually, to get the median one has to arrange the data from the smallest to the highest. The mode on the other hand is the most occurring in a data set. For instance, whenever a value of 4 tends to occur in the dataset for most times, it will be regarded as the mode. With multiple values occurring frequently, the data set is said to have a multimodal distribution.
