The rate in which how long it takes to complete any given task can result in many underlying factors. Some of which consist of reduced quality of performance and reduced job satisfaction which can also lead to a decrease in morale. Some of the obvious types of organizational workflow within a business setting consist of asking for the completion of "pop up" and other unplanned tasks to be accomplished at the earliest convenience if one is already headed in a specific direction with a given task. There are many repetitive tasks that we find ourselves doing once we have gone through the same motions multiple times. We eventually become aware of that and realize that if we implemented a technique that could alleviate this long process, we could save time that could be used more efficiently. 

When employees have clear guidance on what is expected of them with a timeline that is enforced, there will be little to no need to micromanage as a manager on any level. With confusion often comes chaos and that often leads to micromanaging whether or not was intentional. Micromanaging is a large reason why people find themselves looking for a new job. Incorporating flow charts with a simple notepad and pencil can allow employees to really see how operations are currently being conducted which will allow room for discussion in order to improve current workflows. 

As technology continues to advance, so should a company's workflow in order to maximize one's time. The utilization of automation has allowed for humans to focus on more rigorous tasks while the repetitive tasks can be programmed and left for completion by a robotic system to accomplish. There are many useful tools that can be utilized today such as a software called Intercom which allows for the use of automated emails to be sent out dependent on the keywords within an email. Customer service and small business owners can be greatly appreciative of these types of IT systems by incorporating them into their current workflow.
