GETTING STARTED

• Open the file NP_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_1.pptx, available for download from the SAM website.
• Save the file as NP_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_2.pptx by changing the “1” to a “2”.
  • If you do not see the .pptx file extension in the Save As dialog box, do not type it. The program will add the file extension for you automatically.
• To complete this SAM Project, you will also need to download and save the following data files from the SAM website onto your computer:
  • Support_PPT19_6a_ClinicChanges.pptx
• With the file NP_PPT19_6a_FirstLastName_2.pptx still open, ensure that your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
  • If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and download a new copy from the SAM website.

PROJECT STEPS

1. As the administrator for the MCT Rehabilitation Clinic in Houston, TX, you have developed a presentation describing the clinic services.
   Begin by customizing the fonts used in the presentation by selecting Castellar as the Heading font.
2. View the Slide Master and then make changes as follows:
   1. Rename the Title and Content layout Services.
   2. With the Title and Content Layout Slide Master still selected, change the background style to Style 6.
   3. Change the font size of the Master title style to 32 point, and then close Slide Master view.
3. Save the presentation, compare the current presentation with Support_PPT19_6a_ClinicChanges.pptx, and then review changes as follows:
   1. On Slide 2 ("Clinic Goals"), accept the two suggested changes—the addition of "Mission" and the deletion of "Goals".
   2. On Slide 8 ("Massage Therapy"), reject the suggested change so that the slide title remains "Massage Therapy."
   3. End the presentation review.
4. On Slide 4 ("What We Do"), select the four bulleted items, then modify the bullet symbol as follows:
   1. Change the bullet to the happy face symbol in the Wingdings font (Character code: 74).
   2. Change the color of the bullet symbol to Green, Accent 6.
   3. Change the size of the bullet symbol to 110%.
5. On Slide 6 ("Rehabilitation Services"), select the three bulleted items, then change the style of bullets to Hollow Square Bullets.
6. Show the comments in the presentation, and then work with comments as follows:
   1. On Slide 7 ("Chiropractic Services"), insert a comment containing the text I think we should include a picture on this slide. (Hint: Include the period.)
   2. Go to the next comment in the presentation (on Slide 8).
   3. Reply to the comment with the text No, I don't think so. (Hint: Include the period.)
   4. Go to the next comment in the presentation (on Slide 9), and then delete the comment.
7. Change the title MCR Rehabilitation Services to the document properties for the presentation.
8. Mark the presentation as Final.

In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure on the following page. Save your changes, close the presentation, and exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the SAM website to submit your completed project.
