During a masked party of the Capulets, Romeo and Juliet instantaneously fall in love, and Romeo professes his love for her when he climbs the wall into her family's orchard garden and finds her alone at her window.
Romeo sneaks into the Capulet orchard to visit Juliet and the two confess their love for one other and agree to get married and be together. With the help of Juliet's nurse and Friar Laurence, Romeo and Juliet secretly wed. Because of the feud, their families' hard hatred threatens to separate them and wed them to different families.
