Your task is to present something akin to an elevator pitch, that is, a brief argument that directly links to one of the topics discussed in class. The content and the structure of the argument is up to you: you may focus either on an individual topic (e.g., agile operations) or an individual case (e.g., Zara) we discussed, but it has to be an argument in that it must contain a process of reasoning by which you take a position on an issue. Note that presenting an argument for a position on an issue does not mean you personally have to be 100 percent convinced of the position. In general, personal convictions tend to be less relevant than we think. When was the last time you were persuaded by the presenter’s personal conviction? The essay must be a maximum of 1,000 words (approximately two pages of single-spaced text) and contain only text. The latter criterion underscores the fact that in many real-life situations, we have to make our arguments -- literally -- in text. Possible argument topics against: 1. Lean Thinking 2.
