ensure that
your first and last name is displayed in the presenter notes on Slide 1.
If the presenter notes do not display your name, delete the file and
download a new copy from the SAM website.
PROJECT STEPS
1.
The Rare Air Ski Association is a coalition of hundreds of ski resorts that help
reduce their emissions of greenhouse gases. As part of their outreach
marketing, you are developing a presentation for teenaged skiers to teach them
about atmospheric science. To coordinate the colors in the presentation with the
photos, change the theme colors to
Blue
.

On Slide 1 (“Rare Air Ski Association”), u
se Smart Guides to position the subtitle
to the right of the title as shown in Figure 1 in the Instructions file.

On Slide 2 (“SKI AREAS SET THE STANDARD”),
right-align
the title text
paragraph.
4.
With Slide 2 still displaying, insert and modify an audio file as follows:
a.
Insert the audio file
Support_SC_PPT16_3b_Whoosh.mp3
, available for
download from the SAM website.
b.
Drag the audio icon to the lower-right corner of the slide.
c.
Set the audio clip to start playing automatically.
d.
Rewind the audio clip after playing.
e.
Hide the audio clip during a slide show.
5.
With Slide 2 still displaying, arrange the text box and the picture as follows:
a.
Bring the text box to the front of the stacking order.
b.
Use Smart Guides to position the text box in the middle of the picture as
shown in Figure 2 in the Instructions file. (
Hint
: Drag the text box towards
the middle of the picture slowly. If Smart Guides do not appear, position
the text box in the approximate middle of the picture. The edge of the text
box should not overlap the edge of the picture.)

On Slide 3 (“AIR POLLUTION THREATENS SKI TOURISM”), make the following
changes to the content placeholders to draw attention to the bulleted list:
a.
Delete the content placeholder on the right.
b.
Apply the
Random Bars
Entrance animation to the bulleted list

On Slide 4 (“LAYERS OF THE ATMOSPHERE”), insert a text box to provide
perspective as follows:
a.
Insert a text box to the right of the picture.
b.
Enter
Highest ski lift: 13,000 feet
in the text box. (
Hint
: Adjust the
width of the text box so all the text fits on one line if necessary.)
c.
Use Smart Guides to align the left side of the text box with the left side of
the title text box, and align the top of the text box with the top side of the
picture as shown in Figure 3 in the Instructions file.

8.
With Slide 4 still displaying, apply the
Zoom
Entrance animation to the picture.

picture on the left as follows:

Check the Spelling in the presentation to identify and correct any spelling
errors. (
Hint
: You should find and correct at least one spelling error.)
In Slide Sorter view, your presentation should look like the Final Figure below. Save your
changes, close the presentation, and then exit PowerPoint. Follow the directions on the
SAM website to submit your completed project.
